The August 16, 2023 meeting focused on coastal wetlands and coastal habitat shifts. A total of 71 stakeholders, researchers, and subject matter experts gathered for discussions and presentations on coastal wetland plant migration with sea level rise, mangrove migration as a response to nutrients and temperature changes, the impact of oyster rakes and hydrology on coastal wetlands, elevation changes in the marsh-mangrove ecotone, and coastal wetlands monitoring in the GTM Research Reserve.
